Volkswagen Routan. The Volkswagen Routan is a seven-seat minivan and rebadged variant of the Chrysler RT platform. The Routan is available with the Chrysler 3.8 L V6 producing 147 kW and the 4.0 L V6 producing 187 kW. Both engines are mated to Chrysler's 62TE six-speed automatic transaxle with manual shift capability.

Volkswagen unleashed a barrage of details for their entire product lineup for the 2015 model year. For starters, the 2015 year sees the introduction of the entire 2015 Golf lineup ranging from the base model, to the GTI, the Golf R, the e-Golf, and the Golf SportWagen, which replaces the Jetta SportWagen. The biggest change for the new year however is the discontinuation of the Volkswagen Eos and the Routan, something that’s been predicated for quite some time. And that’s because both the Eos and the Routan weren’t exactly top sellers. The other notable change involves the Touareg that gets a mid-cycle refresh. And lastly, VW also announced to be updating their 2.0L TDI turbo-four diesel. Once the new-year models come around, the TDI four gets a boost of 10hp for a total output of 150hp and 236 lb-ft of twist.
